Life FM (New Zealand)
Life FM is a contemporary Christian music youth-oriented radio network. According to Rhema Media, the station aims to play uplifting music, promote sound family values, discuss issues affecting young people, and encourage people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
A nationwide Colmar Brunton report commissioned by Rhema Broadcasting Group (now Rhema Media) in 2010 claimed 69,000 people had made positive life choices as a result of listening to Life FM. According to the survey, 11,000 people had been inspired to stop self-harm and another 19,000 had reduced their use of drugs, alcohol, gambling and pornography. The survey also found 5000 reduced their illegal drug consumption and 6000 reduced or stopped smoking or smoking. The research claimed Life FM had inspired 52,000 people to help those less fortunate, and had persuaded at least one person not to commit suicide.
